During testimony Thursday in the ongoing defamation trial brought by her ex-husband Johnny Depp, actress and model Amber Heard detailed a “belligerent” fight that she said ended in a graphic sexual assault. She recalled Depp pushing her up against and fridge and “hitting my head, hard.”
Heard said Depp was drinking alcohol in front of her “to make a point.” She said he threw her on a games table and started hitting her in the face and at some point “he had a broken bottle up against my face, neck area by my jawline and he told me he’d carve up my face.”
She continued, testifying through tears that Depp ripped off her nightgown, leaving her naked. Speaking through sobs and covering her face, she said Depp continued to punch her.
“I felt pain and there was a pressure on my pubic bone,” she said, explaining she then realized she was being forcefully penetrated with a glass bottle. “I just remember being really still and not wanting to move. “

In plain terms, sexual battery is the unlawful touching, contact, or union with another persons sexual organs. So think of sexual battery in the common term of what we think of as rape; you forcefully placed yourself on someone.
But in the more uncommon term, sexual battery can be the person could not consent. They were intoxicated to the point that they didn’t know. The person could be under a certain age. A person under the age of 16, typically, in the state of Florida cannot consent to a person over the person over the age of 18. The person under the age of 12, it would be sexual battery, but capital sexual battery because of their age. The person could be incapacitated because of mental decline and that person was touched or was penetrated in some way, inconsistent with their wishes. That would be a sexual battery.
So generally speaking, sexual battery could be a variety of different crimes, but in basic terms it’s the unlawful contact union, with someone’s sexual organs against their will. Video Rating: / 5
